WINTER SNOWMOBILING Snowmobiling is famous in the Near North for some of the best trails around. Here, at Country Cabins you are away from the city & the automobiles. The best thing about staying here for your snowmobile vacation is the quiet in the morning, the sound of the birds, & you may even get lucky & see a Grey Owl ( we feel very lucky when it visits us yearly!). Right at your cottage doorstep you can get on your machine & sled all day to many areas of beautifully groomed trails. And we luckily seem to always get a lot of snow in this area. The groomers are the best around & always ensure that the trails are up to par. We will send you the snowmobile maps at your request so you can plan around this area.
Also when you get back from your day's journey, no need to cook. Pull up your machine or park it at your cottage & walk over to Rick's Bar & Grill. Try Rick's famous succulent "Ribs" with homemade barbecue sauce with a bite or homemade honey garlic with toasted sesame seeds. We serve the best burgers around with meat that has no cereal in it - all beef!! Perhaps roast beef shaved & piled high on a toasted bun with homemade roast beef dip & horseradish may entice you or soups or salads. The list goes on. You may book your cottage with your dinner included or book the cottage alone. The Cottages sleep anywhere from 2 - 10 people & a hot shower with a fully stocked cottage would be awaiting for you. The woodstove is prepared & all you have to do is light 'er up. Also we sell gas. So what else would a snowmobiler need. We have it all for you here. FOR MAP OF SNOWTRAIL, PLEASE CLICK HERE NEW YEAR'S EVE While our cozy restaurant may only sit 30 people, the all inclusive menu of Prime Rib, Shrimp Vol-le-Vants covered in garlic cheese sauce, & all the trimmings makes for a very different atmosphere for your New Years Eve this year. The restaurant is tastefully decorated for the evening & all that come even dress up for the occasion, although this is entirely your choice. Each year the menu changes but from our experiences, everyone has immensely enjoyed the food & we serve top of the line red & white wines & all your favorite liqueurs. A minimum two night booking is necessary & it is semi inclusive, as unfortunately we can't include the alcohol in this new year's eve special. Book early as the cottages are taken quickly for this special & intimate setting.
